Vincent du Sartel has worked as a designer at Louis Vuitton and then was appointed the Artistic Director at Loewe up to 2003. It was during this experience living in Spain, that he slowly fell in love of everything Spanish: the magic embodied in the poems of Lorca and Machado, the extraordinary and unique nature of the Andalusia and Extremadura landscapes, the warm and mineral-rich palette of Ignacio Burgos and Barceló, and the bright, luminous colors of the “white towns”. He lives in Paris but he based his work in Madrid. He wants to remain close to the Spanish craftsmen, the harness makers, saddlers and boot makers, the guardians of ancient skills and the creators of the most beautiful pieces of handicraft work. He drew his inspiration for his collection from the original and very specific montages of these diversified trades, using also the best row materials: the soft high quality lambskin napa and the carefully selected calfskins, whose natural patinas and resistance provide the very essence of the most beautiful Spanish leather craftsmanship.
